What We Know So Far About New Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned all human beings of the world on 31st December 2019 regarding novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and it should be prevented from the global spread. The COVID-19 virus was known earlier as 2019-nCoV. The outbreak was first reported from Wuhan, Hubei, China in December 2019 and documented as a pandemic by the WHO on 11th March 2020. On 13th March 2020, the WHO said Europe is the current epicenter of the pandemic. Most of the countries have taken various precautionary measures to stop mass gatherings of peoples for any reasons in various sectors. As of 7th April 2020, over 13,65,000 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in around 204 countries and territories; more than 76,500 people have died from the disease and around 2,94,220 have recovered. As on 3rd April countries affected by foremost outbreaks include China, Italy, United States, Germany, and Spain.
