Abstract

Sales Prediction is important for predicting the future demand. It depends on two critical elements, possessing right data and drawing the correct conclusions from the right data. Business enterprises focus on sales prediction. Prediction helps the business to work according to plan and cut down wasteful expenditure.  As a result goods can be offered at a fair price. It is easy to control the performance. It is vital for preparing budget. It helps to establish the production capacity that is required. It enables the business to decide whether to add a new product or to drop unsuccessful one that is not demand in the market. Gradient boost algorithm is a powerful machine learning algorithm. It can do regression, classification and ranking. Gradients help in improving the model while MLR is an extension of linear regression. MLR improves model generalization. In MLR training is very fast and provides accurate results.
