Self-Ordering Machine Innovation: Improvement of Internal Business Processes Through Customer Readiness

Abstract

The development of digital technology has resulted in many companies implementing information
systems in their company operations. Likewise, with the restaurant industry. A new innovation called Self
Ordering Machine has been developed. This machine makes it easy for customers to place orders. SelfOrdering Machine implementation requires customer involvement in mastery of technology. This study aims
to determine the readiness of customers to use the Self Ordering Machine. This research is a descriptive
study by distributing questionnaires. Respondents of this research are McDonald's customers in the city of
Bandung. The results show that customers are ready to use this new technology even though there are still
some shortcomings. Customers may still need interaction with employees
