Abstract

-Liaison interpreting is usually viewed as a wide range of interpreting activities in foreign affairs. In
the family of translation, it is sometimes marginalized because it covers more in scope and the operating
process is more flexible. It can be used on a variety of occasions, covering a wide range of topics. There is
no doubt that the liaison interpreting deserves our attention and concern. Among the many characteristics of
interpreting studies, one of the most prominent one is that it is often integrated with the study of other
disciplines, which makes the study of liaison interpreting interdisciplinary. At the same time, pragmatic
theories, such as the BP neural network and the Skopos (objective) principle is rarely used to analyze
interpretation session, but they play a great role in the relationship between principle and research in the
pragmatic process of liaison interpreting. This paper introduces the application of artificial intelligence, such
as BP neural network in translation studies, and the study of conversational implicature in liaison
interpreting. Based on the BP neural network and the Skopos theory, this paper analyzes the feasibility of
these two pragmatic theories in liaison interpreting, and makes a qualitative analysis of conversational
implicature in liaison interpreting.
