Abstract

Multilevel inverter has created enough buzz in the field of research. The classical topologies have proven to be great
alternatives for a range of high power medium voltage application; the research in new topologies is still growing. One of
the most important objectives is the reduction of overall component count in the classical topologies. In this paper the
analysis of some newly proposed Multilevel Inverters with diminished number of switches is done. It also accounts for most
of the difficulties faced in attempt to reduce the total number of switches.
