Professional Development for Science Teachers in iPad Integration

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to improve the educational practices of Science teachers while
contributing new elements to the model of the professional development in iPad integration. Henceforth, this
paper describes a variety of educational technology frameworks and how the frameworks could be used
together to form a new professional model that could guide the Science teachers to design, implement and
evaluate the iPad lessons whilst taking into account the needs of the Science Curriculum. In this paper, the
researcher has integrated the TPACK, SAMR and Technology Integration Matrix (TIM) into the Apple
Professional Development Catalog as the proposed professional development model.
