Abstract

The unique electrical and optical properties of quantum dots increase the interest in their
application areas every day. Even though Quantum Dot Sensitive Solar Cells, one of the usage areas of QDs,
theoretically promises 44% power conversion efficiency (PCE), the experimentally obtained PCE value is
well below this value. One of the reasons for this low efficiency is load recombination occurring in the
QDSSC design. In this study, CdSeS QDs were used to suppress charge recombination occurring between
the TiO2 surface and the electrolyte. While SILAR method was used to coat CdSeS QDs on TiO2 surface,
MPA coated CdTe QDs were pre-synthesized and coated with deep coating method. PCE of TiO2 / CdSeS /
CdTe QDSSCs in the study is 1.431±0.125.
