Abstract

In India the small farmers are habituated to manually lever operated knapsack sprayer because of its cost and design. But this sprayer pump has certain disadvantages like it cannot attain required pressure and it lead to the problem ofback pain. So the work presents the newly modified multi nozzle sprayer which can work on the driven wheel of the cart. There are many spray pumps available but they use fuel or battery power to operate and cost effective. But in this modified wheel driven multi nozzle sprayer pump, a one trolley is there in which a special mechanism has been added for transmission of rotary motion into reciprocating motion to operate the pump lever. In addition to this solar battery operated pump was installed to increase the efficiency of spraying of pesticides. By this addition we can use this spray pump both mechanically as well as semi-automatic way. The modelling of this wheel driven multi nozzle sprayer has been executed in design software Solid works. It contains frame, sprayer tank, nozzles, solar plate, wheel and crank. The maximum manufacturing process involves production of the frame and fitting of the parts according to the modelling process. This model sprayer pump has been tested and there is satisfactory output which consumes less time and performs effectively.
