Abstract

The Communication field plays a vital role in today’s application, as the data transfer from one end to another is essential. This work discusses the transmission of data using a DC-DC converter namely voltage lift boost converter, positive output super-lift Luo converter (POSLC), and a modified negative Luo converter (MNLC). It is a novel technique as it involves a DC-DC converter for data transmission. Generally, data transmission is carried out using a fiber optic cable that involves an additional light source for data to be transmitted from the transmitter to the receiver. Though fiber optic has lots of advantages, it has disadvantages like fragility, dispersion and attenuation issues, cost, ancillary device requirement for secure data transmission, and various others. To overcome all these drawbacks, a simple and novel technique employing a DC-DC converter for data transmission are discussed in this work. A prototype is developed for a modified negative Luo converter and the results are validated with the theoretical calculations.
