Abstract

Conventional soil based forming methods have been successful over the centuries, but as we are in the verge of population explosion land is necessary for everybody to live and the forming area has been shrunk and will be shrunken in the future. So, this makes a need for more efficient farming methods. The yield per unit land must be multiplied tens or hundreds of times to meet the need of a growing population effectively. And this solution may lie in more efficient IOT based hydroponic vertical farming. This Efficiency can be achieved by integrating Hydroponic farming in large scale vertical farms. As there is no soil used in Hydroponic technology all nutrients are supplied through aqua solutions directly to the root of the plant and this solution will be circulated according to the need. As we use IOT, every factor of plant growth is been monitored, controlled and automated through AI and Internet. Thus, by this advanced method of agriculture, every plant need can be satisfied precisely which reduces the amount of water used drastically, very less pest threat, no soil damage and very high yield for the same area of land.
