Abstract

- In today’s cyber world, there is an increasing dependency of people on the applications based on the software. Ensuring the quality of the software is very difficult. Number of models for the estimation of software reliability has been developed earlier; none of the model is there which can give accurate estimate of software reliability under different conditions. Effect of environmental factors need to be considered while developing a model for the estimation of reliability. In this paper some of the SRGMs have been discussed and then on the basis of these models a new model has been proposed involving both the imperfect debugging and environmental conditions. In order to estimate the parameters of the proposed model, swarm intelligence based particle swarm optimization technique is used by the authors. The implementation results of the proposed model shows satisfactory results in reliability estimation using failure datasets provided in real.
