Research on Translator's Subjectivity in Translation of English Language and Literature Works Based on Data Mining

Abstract

According to the traditional idea, the author is the creator of the original text, and the author has absolute right to speak in the original text, while the translator only plays the role of conversion between different languages. Therefore, the translator should be completely faithful to the original author, the original text and the reader. In this way, the translator will be too passive in translation, thus affecting the quality of translation. This is due to the neglect of the study of translator's subjectivity in traditional translation concepts. They fail to realize that translator's subjectivity is inevitable in literary translation. As the subject in the process of translation, the translator must regard the original text as the main object of translation. He will transform the original language into the language needed by the translator. In order to better cultivate students' translation ability, it is necessary to fully study the translator's subjectivity so as to make the translation more truly reflect the thoughts and feelings of the original text. Based on data mining technology, this paper discusses the translator's subjectivity in literary translation, and analyzes how to give full play to the translator's subjectivity and creativity and convey the charm of the original text.
