Study on Employment Preparation of College Undergraduates——From the Perspective of Career Construction Theory

Abstract

Based on process perspective of career construction theory, this paper proposes the connotation and structure of undergraduates’ employment preparation status, including three levels of employment preparation motivation, career adaptability and employment preparation strategies. A survey on college undergraduates in Jiangsu Province, China found that: employment preparation status is generally above the middle level, with a relatively high score for career adaptability; employment preparation status and its three dimensions have significant differences between grades. Finally, countermeasures and suggestions for improving employment quality are put forward from the perspectives of strengthening undergraduate career management, popularizing career adaptation education, improving proactive personality level, constructing evaluation, supervision and guarantee mechanism for employment preparation
