Adaptive Congestion control approach by using Cross-Layer technique in Mobile Ad-Hoc Network
Abstract
Earlier, some authors have used reference layer models to communicate their concerns about imperfect congestion control management in MANET. A variety of solutions have been proposed to deal with increasing traffic of data packets and congestion affecting the network performance, by applying link-layer details. Prevalent practices express the challenges in improper congestion management by losing various data packets. In addition, the higher achievement by congestion control systems with conventional reference model is difficult because of the rapid changes in topology, dynamic behavior of wireless networks, and link-layer issues. In this paper, we have proposed the Cross-layer Adaptive Congestion Control (CL-ACC) approach for treating congestion issues properly in the Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANETs). Simulation results shows the efficacy and usability of the suggested approach for congestion control, and achieve better performance than existing methods.
