Abstract

The hybrid silica (SiO2) nanoparticles + zirconia (ZrO2) nanoparticles were added to the epoxy / glass fiber. The Hand lay-up method was used   to equip the composites with diverse weight percentage of SiO2+ ZrO2 Nano particles .The separation of SiO2+ ZrO2 nanoparticles in the epoxy resin / glass fiber interlayer was tested with X-ray diffraction.  Mechanical properties   of the equipped Nano composites were examined as Tensile ,bending ,hardness, impact testing. The test result showed an   enhancement in the mechanical characterization of the hybrid mixture which show  increase in  the strength when subjected to  tensile, bending, hardness and the best result  when the adding of  SiO2+ZrO2 at the same quantity(0.5%wt )  . scanning electron microscopy (SEM), examined the morphology and microstructure of the nanoparticles and  fiber glass composite surfaces, Elementary analysis with the Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) detector; the chemical groups were investigated using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).these testing insisted on  silica and zirconium in matrix .
