Abstract

Self-compacting concrete (SCC) is a fascinating form of concrete that helps restrict voids and avoid compactions or vibrator during concreting work. SCC has high workability and compressive strength compared with conventional concrete; furthermore, it can be applied for mass concreting projects where a huge amount of reinforcement is used, such as dams, bridge metro, Etc. SCC has superior strength and durability compared with RCC, so in the present scenario, SCC is highly greeted in the construction industry. This paper provides an insightful review of SCC for structural elements such as beams, columns, slab, and walls, along with the future scope and research recommendations.
