Abstract

Population mobility is a variety of short-term, repeated or periodic movements of population
between regions. Accurate analysis and prediction of population mobility is the cornerstone of regional
administrative and economic policy-making. Based on the existing research results and the development
status of floating population, this paper establishes the structural equation model of floating population
migration willingness. This paper evaluates the influence degree of the floating population's migration
intention through three potential variables: economic situation, living environment and social welfare
security reflected by 17 measurable variables. The results show that the structural equation model has
significant advantages in the theoretical analysis of floating population migration intention, and the model
fitting effect is good, which provides a quantitative model for evaluating the migration intention of floating
population.
