Community Changes In Bandung City Through The Movement Of The Waste Bank Bumi Inspirasi Learning Center

Abstract

The presence of the Bumi Inspirasi Learning Center Waste Bank provides social changes that occur in the people of Bandung City. The existence of the Bumi Inspirasi Learning Center Waste Bank provides education through a gradual process and involves agents of change. Through the community paradigm regarding waste, social change is carried out by giving knowledge carried out by the Bumi Inspirasi Learning Center Waste Bank for waste management by implementing the 3R reduce, reuse, and recycle. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method by describing the situation through data collection obtained through the interview process. Efforts made in educating the people of Bandung City regularly have yielded results that can be seen from the Bumi Inspirasi Learning Center Waste Bank benefits. The strategy carried out by the Bumi Inspirasi Learning Center Waste Bank Movement is to focus on education for mothers, children, and millennials by delivering education according to the tailor mode, collaborating with Waste Banks and government parties, private institutions, and other communities, and providing assistance to customers and other prime waste banks. This research's usefulness can assist further research, especially in environmental communication and reading and learning material, to expand waste banks' knowledge.
