What Ratios Affect Share Prices during the Covid-19 Pandemic: Evidence Consumer Goods Companies Listed on the Indonesian

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Return On Asset (ROA), Current Ratio (CR), and Earning Per Share (EPS) on the Share Prices of Consumer Goods Sector Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2020 Period. The object of research is the Consumer Goods Sector Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2020 Period. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, namely judgment sampling and the number of samples used was 30 companies. The variables used in this study are the variable Return On Asset (ROA), Current Ratio (CR) and, Earning Per Share (EPS) as independent variables; share price as the dependent variable. The data analysis tool used is the classical assumption test and continued with multiple linear regression analysis using Eviews 11. The conclusion of this study is the variable Return on Assets (X1) and has no effect on stock prices (Y). Variable Current Ratio (X2) has no effect on stock prices (Y). Variable Earning Per Share (X3) affects the stock price (Y). Simultaneously, Return On Asset, Current Ratio, and Earning Per Share have a significant relationship with stock prices. In short, Earning Per Share is a variable that has a big influence on the share price of the consumer goods sector.
