Baby Maid: A Cross-platform Application that Monitors the Growth of Babies

Abstract

Healthy nutrition is the cornerstone of child survival. Well-nourished children can grow up and learn more, engage and contribute to their communities, and be resilient in the face of disease and other global crises. This study determines the level of awareness and accessibility of parents in the health care programs offered by the local government unit, and the Spiral Model was utilized in the development of the application. Hence, Baby Maid was developed as a cross-platform application that documents the growth and conditions of babies. Specifically, the application was designed to document the baby's milestone and address some of the challenges parents face in taking good care of their babies and improving neonatal survival. Moreover, with this innovation, effective ways of organizing continuity of care, recognizing dangers to babies, and accessing professional help when difficulties arise would be accommodated.
