Abstract

The data transmitted can be protected in various ways. Modified Advanced Encryption Standard (MAES) is used to secure sensitive data in various industries. In order to address problems, the use of modified replacement box algorithms to increase security in current communications systems is presented and analyse automated key generation, power reduction, optimization of hardware resources technologies and mathematical methods with lower operating involvement. By means of the affinity of the transformation characteristics, the new S-box has been developed. The pipelining system was used for the different stages of MAES by using this S-box. The pipeline mechanism was used effectively for mixing columns, shifting lines and key expansion modules. Since these blocks are running parallel, the time consumption for encryption is reduced and the time consumption of MAES is reduced effectively. The experiments carried out using the Xilinx ise environment show that the proposed approach uses less hardware and reduces power in comparison with conventional approaches.
