Abstract

Digital voice recording has progressed throughout the years, with apparatuses becoming more advanced than its predecessors. These include concepts such as recorders being integrated into mobile devices and improvement in the field of audio and visual information compression, decreasing file space.  However, problems persist in the form of noise—distorting the image and audio quality, escalating, even more, depending on the quality of the device its owner possesses. This study developed a basic program that applies the principles of noise reduction, given a sound file. The filtration system results in quality audio that does not sacrifice much of the source material, given an unideal condition from whence it was initially recorded.
