Abstract

Personality disorder is one of the major causes of suicide as well as suicidal attempts. Suicidal death due to personality disorder is increasing day-by-day in India. Borderline Personality Disorder is one of the common types of personality disorder leading to suicide. Suicide due to personality cannot be stopped or controlled, it depends upon individuals' routines and cares for them. The present statistics reveal that suicide due to personality disorder is most common in teenagers than compared to elder peoples. They are common and are frequently encountered in virtually all forms of health care. PDs are associated with an inferior quality of life, poor health, and pre-matured mortality. The etiology of the personality disorder is complex and it is due to genetic or environmental factors. The clinical expressions vary between different PD types: the most common and core aspect is related to an inability to build and maintain healthy interpersonal relationships. This aspect has a negative impact on the interaction between healthcare professionals and clients with a personality disorder. Knowledge about the portrayal of Personality Disorder littlest among clinical professionals is restricted, which is mostly in light of the fact that people don't look for medical services for their Personality Disorder, yet rather than other clinical gave darkened by their underline character issues. What should be underscored is that Personality Disorder influence both the clinical introduction of other clinical issues and the result of these, in an adverse way, and that the coordinated impacts of having a Personality Disorder are abbreviated future. Appropriately, Personality Disorders should be perceived and clinical practice to a more prominent degree than beforehand. It is said that people with Borderline Personality Disorder have more tendency towards suicidal thoughts and suicide. According to area 309 of the Indian Penal Code condemns endeavored self-destruction. Whoever endeavors to end it all and does any demonstration towards the commission of such offense, will be rebuffed with basic detainment for a term which may reach out to one year or with fine, or with both. Suicidal attempts due to depression arethe most common nowadays. Prevention strategies for suicide include education regarding it among the public people. The treatment for preventing suicide is a tough task. Medications given by the psychiatrist, psychologist, or another mental health provider may be useful. In our proposed work we analyze the throughout reasons, impacts, and measures to avoid suicide due to mental disorders.
