Investigation on Mechanical Properties of Aluminum 7075 with Variation in Nickel

Abstract

This paper depicts the manufacture of various weight rates of Nickel powder filled in the alloy of Aluminum 7075 at various temperature and time by powder metallurgy method under a controllable environment. Mechanical examination of the Ni powder-filled Al 7075 alloys is studied after experimentation. The Impact strength and Brinell’s hardness of the unfilled and Ni filled alloys are analyzed. Finally, the observation of microstructures of the different compositions of Ni filled alloys is done through Scanning Electron Microscope to understand the wear system of the alloys for material application.
