Abstract

CRM is an essential subject for discussion in today’s context. This paper tries to explain the essence of CRM in e-commerce businesses. The role of CRM is huge when combined with the state-of-the-art technology. Businesses now realize the need for CRM implementation for the successful and sustained business. The basic types of technologies in CRM and new horizons of technology to support CRM practices for e-commerce businesses are highlighted. The main aim of this paper is to provide an insight about the advantages of technology enabled CRM (e-CRM) in e-commerce businesses. By understanding the real time value of technology enabled CRM businesses can adopt, renovate and prosper in their lines of businesses with less cost and effort. Thus, CRM for e-commerce is considered very essential in this competitive business world. Businesses can adopt to new technological updates to maintain cordial relationships with its customers as a competitive tool for success in its lines of businesses.
