Abstract

Computerized disease diagnosis system has undergone rapid growth in healthcare. Recently deep learning based decision making on magnetic resonance MRI images becoming the interesting research area. Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is considered as the significant cause of mortality in developed countries and now in developing countries. It is important to predict the early stage of AD to improve the patient’s quality of life. This article retrospect the latest deep learning architecture applied on Alzheimer’s disease prediction on MRI images. The methods applied for hippocampus segmentation, deep feature extraction and classification technique is discussed in detail. Through this systematic literature review, a finding is made to select the suitable dl approach for AD detection. The performance of these dl approaches is also discussed.
