Investigation of Controller Design for EV System with Manta Ray Foraging Optimization Approaches

Abstract

The automobile industry is moving towards efficient and economical based fuel utilization vehicles in the 21st century.  The size and weight of various automobile parts are reduced and easy to control electronically. The electronic control module is more compatible and also support for upgradation. The efficient operation can be performed either incorporating the software module or change of hardware part in automobile. Most preferably, software module with the support of software upgradation will be preferred in real time. The BLDC motor is mostly utilized in various parts of EV and the speed, position control is the major task. The speed control strategy with PI and PID controller is discussed here and the controller parameter is identified in conventional way and optimization algorithms: (i) Grasshopper (ii) Harris Hawick (iii) Manta Ray Foraging. The parameters are analyzed in all the algorithm and best one is suggested for real time implementation.
