Speed Control of Brushless Dc Motor Via PID Controller Design and Comparative
Abstract
Brushless DC motor is broadly used in manufacturing and industries, since, its features and properties such as high efficiency, reliability, high starting torque, and electrical noiseless, as well lower maintenance. There are verity of controllers are designed and implemented to direct BrushLess DC Motor. The paper presents some of controllers’ techniques of BLDC motor. The motor is modeling and simulated via matlab and test in open loop. PID, PI, and P controllers are designed and executed on MATLAB/SIMULINK for BLDC speed control. Comparing between the simulation results of controllers is reported. PID controller of speed control BLDC carries out a satisfactory response performance. Moreover, PID controller with simulation model of BLDC is verified by utilizing Hardware in the loop, HIL, technique via Arduino Due, Simulink support package and MATLAB/SIMULINK. The performance speed response of PID controllers HIL is also compared to open loop, and PID controller on MATLAB/SIMULINK. The comparative speed performance shows much closed results.
