Abstract

Currently the majority of the automobiles worldwide operate using the conventional sources of energy that includes kerosene, petroleum, diesel and fuels with high carbon that release energy in combustion. Burning of these fuels raises severe environmental concerns. According to a survey done these fuels produces 30 billion tons of carbon-dioxide per year. To reduce the effect of these fuels a global movement that focuses on the generation of low carbon fuels is on its way that introduces the usage of alternate fuels. Our research aims towards the usage of biofuels like kharanja oil, jatropha oil, thumba oil and simarouba oil. We are aiming to use these oils as alternate to diesel which is most widely used in diesel engines

Our research aims towards the usage of biofuels like kharanja oil, jatropha oil, thumba oil and simarouba oil. We are aiming to use these oils as alternate to diesel which is most widely used in diesel engines as it results in increase of thermodynamic efficiency and fuel efficiency. This article is an effective survey on the characteristics and performance analysis of various alternative fuels.
