Research on the Defensive Hierarchical Structure of the Anti-Yuan City Defense System in the Southern Song Dynasty on the Upper Yangtze River

Abstract

For the internal hierarchy of the city defense system constructed in the upstream of Yangtze River in the period of Anti-Yuan War in the Southern Song Dynasty, starting with the function of the defense center, the main factors affecting the centrality of the defense of city include the level of command nodes in regional defense, the system of military mobile strategic channels, military gathering and stations, the effective reach of military forces in one day, and the defense of spatial boundaries, etc. The influence factors are quantified and assigned, and the importance and centrality of each city is calculated.
