Analysis Of Harmonics Injected In The Power Grid Due To Ev Battery Charging
Abstract
Electric Vehicle (EV) doesn’t contribute to the emission of greenhouse gases, provides higher efficiency, and less reliance on fossil fuel. Thus the trend is towards adopting the Electric Vehicles (EV) over the conventional vehicle. But there are various limitations involved in the total adoption of Electric Vehicle (EV). These limitations must be overcome before the total adoption of Electric Vehicle (EV). One of them is the injection of Harmonics in the power grid due to Electric Vehicle (EV) charging load. The charging loads of Electric vehicles are affecting the Power Quality and produces Harmonics. The analysis is done to measure the amount of Harmonics injected in the system with increasing Charging load connected to the Power grid using a simulation constructed using MATLAB/Simulink.Downloads
