Abstract

The paper presents the results of a study to establish the effect of gravitational forces, mechanical compaction of sands and the nature of the interaction of fixers with the surface of sand particles on the processes of liquid impregnation, penetration depth, plastic strength of sands. The study of the peculiarities of sand impregnation with fixing systems of different nature showed the influence of the chemical and mineralogical composition of sand and its degree of dispersion, gravitational forces, mechanical compaction of sands and the nature of the interaction of fixers with the surface of sand particles on the processes of liquid impregnation, penetration depth, plastic strength of sands, in general, on consolidation processes. Namely they allow the scientifically based creation of new fixers and sand fixing technologies.
