Physical Bhaviour of Jute/Bamboo Natural Fiber Reinforced Composite Filled with Coconut Shell Ash

Abstract

In this experiment jute/bamboo natural fibers chemically treated with alkaline solutions. The specimens are prepared with adding the filler as coconut shell powder. The fiber are placed in different orientations to get better results. Different specimens were prepared in different volume percentage of fiber and epoxy resin in order to get more accurate results. Composites have been fabricated using hand layup technique using a suitable mold developed in industry. All the sample have been tested per ASTM standard for all tests. The physical properties are evaluated by the reinforcement and matrix of the composite. Finally the conclusions are drawn for all tests.
