Fuzzy logic Controller to Improve Power quality of Hybrid Renewable Power Generation

Abstract

An intelligent fuzzy logic controller (FLC) for enhance power quality of PV-Wind power generation is presented in this paper. Optimal power electronic converters (PEC) are employed to produce and control the performance of PV-wind power. Salient pole synchronous generator (SG) is employed as wind generator and obtained simulation results for steady state variation of wind speed and dynamic behaviour of load variations. Proposed fuzzy controller scheme provided desired accepted and improved performance results and solved power quality issues at load side. Synchronous generator converter (SGC) and Utility grid side converter (UGC) two stage back to back voltage source converters (VSC) operated simultaneously and done power management with employing fuzzy logic controllers
