Basic Study and Opportunities in Thin Film Technology

Abstract

The present study examines thin films research, its uses, and its contribution in the field of technology. Researchers have been extensively studying thin films for ages due to their significant role in modern era of science, art and technology. The characteristics of useful thin films depend on the deposition in the atmosphere. Material collection, material preparation and method of the films are included in the environment. The deposition parameters include temperature of substrate, substrate attribute, pressure and thickness. Researchers should try to keep the prepared films stable for the measurements and reproducible outcome. The constancy of the prepared film completely and directly depends on precaution taken during material preparation and process of films preparation. Hence, this research paper reveals and describes the material preparation, general methods of preparation of films and film thickness measuring techniques.
