Abstract

The dynamics of life in society are very much influenced by cultural developments. Culture does
not only grow in the community, but is also reflected in the work patterns in the company. The work culture
in the company will change if the company in question cooperates with other companies or foreign
companies. The mixing of cultures in one company forms a new corporate culture due to differences in
cultural patterns. The mixture of these cultures can be seen in the work patterns at PT. Prasadha Pamunah
Limbah Industri (PPLi). In this study, the theme raised was "Cultural Assimilation (Japanese and
Indonesian) in Operations at PT. Prasadha Pamunah Limbah Industri (PPLi)”. This study uses a descriptive
compilation method, which is a method of researching phenomena that are or have occurred to create a
systematic description or explanation. This study shows the assimilation process of Japanese cultural values
that are applied in the workings of PT. PPLi and the influence of Japanese workers due to assimilation in
office activities at PT. PPLi. The author concludes that Japanese culture that has been applied to PPLi is
Aisatsu (Japanese greeting), 5S (Seiri, Seiton, Seisou, Seiketsu, Shitsuke), and Yubisashi Kanko (Show and
Say). In addition, Japanese workers are also affected by assimilation in office work activities. This can be
seen from the habits, work patterns, and understanding of each culture.
