The Pertinent Analysis of Area Production and Productivity of Groundnut, Cotton and Maize in India

Abstract

The present paper analyses the growth of production, productivity and area of three notified crops viz,
cotton, groundnut, and maize in India and Tamil Nadu for the 10 year from 2006-07 to 2015-16. India is an
agrarian economy, even today those of our population in dependency on agriculture for their survival. The
conversion of land to other purposes made a negative trend in area; medium on productivity of many crops.
