Syntax Analysis Of Filipino Language Among Ibanag Students In Writing Composition

Abstract

This study focuses on the study of syntax of Filipino Language among Ibanag Students in writing composition. The
scope of the study includes one hundred fifty composition works of Ibanag students enrolled at Isabela State University (ISU) –
Ilagan Campus who have Filipino subject. The objective of the study is to determine if there are problems or weaknesses of
Ibanag students in writing composition using Filipino Language. “Descriptive Qualitative Analysis “was utilized in evaluating the
data. Based on the result of the study, most of the identified problems in writing composition using Filipino Language are
committed by Ibanag students. Among their weaknesses, which most of them committed, are the writing of conclusion, mechanics
and uses or functions of words. It is revealed in the study that there is a significant relationship among the variables used in the
study of problems and weaknesses of Ibanag student in writing compositions using Filipino Language. Based on the result of the
study, it is recommended that there should be researchers to work on the different programs.
