Abstract

This study has been designed to discover future trends in new media and social networking.
After realizing their impact on society on a global scale as well as in our own daily lives, researchers have
become personally interested in the developments of web 2.0. Innovation with new field has transformed the
way human consumers and organisations interact. In this analysis of the websites we should focus on Facebook
and its usefulness as a marketing platform for the population of Afghanistan, since it has recently gained
tremendous attention for marketing communications. In fact, Facebook presents itself as being the ultimate
advertisement platform because its creators have built an advertising framework that enables advertisers to
use Facebook user details for different advertising purposes. Facebook offers the perfect medium to connect
directly with companies and clients. Marketing on social network sites must comply with new rules and
principles and every company must clearly determine whether or not marketing for social media is appropriate.
Researchers aim to determine whether Facebook is an effective marketing tool in Afghanistan where marketers
can reach target customers and influence them.
