Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyse the energy demand and usage of GD Naidu Block and
suggest ways to minimise the energy demand. The energy audit involves the recording and analysis of energy
consumption. The energy demand is increasing, and the electric companies are struggling to meet the need.
Increasing energy demand brings out the need for efficient machines and processes to reduce the burden on
the energy systems. Data is being collected for the GD Naidu block. It includes the information for all the
fan’s, lights and equipment in the lab this same data for the classrooms and corridors. The detailed structural
plan of the building was used to figure out the open spaces for the implementation of the findings. The energy
audit is an integral part of energy conservation practices. The energy audit projects possible conservation
opportunities in enhancing the energy efficiency of the system. The energy audit will help us identify the
sources that can be adequately mentioned to ensure better energy consumption. Energy consumed in the
working hours is to be compared to the non-working hours. 1. The objective of this study is to access the
energy usage of the GDN block. 2. To find considerable ways to minimise the use of energy. 3. Identifying
the area where the maximum savings can be achieved.
