Abstract

The usage of Learning Management System (LMS) in higher education institutions are a norm nowadays. However, the adaptation of these LMS rarely take the students learning style into consideration. This has rendered the effectiveness of the usage and capability of LMS as the conventional LMS treats all the students the same regardless of their learning styles. The author suggests to integrate a personalized learning material based on the learning styles of a student in order to maximize the teaching and learning process for both instructors and students based on the Felder-Silverman learning style model. The research method involved includes literature review, questionnaire, survey and system development. The results from the experiments conducted validate that the personalized LMS improved the learning capability of students.
