Abstract

Zinc oxide nano-structure was synthesized using a controllable (Pechini) method. In the method, zinc acetate [Zn(CH3COO)2.2H2O], citric acid and ethylene glycol were used as Zn+2 source, chelating agent and connecting agent, respectively. The structural and optical properties of zinc oxide nano-powders have been studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) structure, transmission electron microscope (TEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy.
