THE IMPACT OF CAROCOK BEACH INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT AND ITS IMPLICATIONS ON STAKEHOLDER SATISFACTION

Abstract

The study aimed to determine stakeholder satisfaction with the development of the infrastructure of the Carocok tourist area, Painan, West Sumatra, as well as its impact on the local economy, socio-culture and environment. The study involved 200 respondents who were asked to answer a questionnaire containing 73 statements. Two respondent's answers were incomplete, so the answers that were processed amounted to 198. Data analysis used SPSS path analysis. Data analysis used SPSS path analysis. The level of significance of the study was set at 5%. The results of the analysis revealed that the development of the Carocok tourist area infrastructure has provided positive economic and environmental impacts that meet the expectations of stakeholders, but it has not given a positive impact on sociology and culture according to their expectations. Further investigation and handling of the impact of sociology and culture is needed to complement the achievement of sustainable tourism development goals.
