Cross Training and its Privileges among Nursing Staffs – The Way of Job Rotation

Abstract

Cross training and its privileges in nursing staffs in hospitals deals with the importance of cross training efficiency among nursing staffs so as to extend multi-tasking and reduce manpower. Shortage of getting full time nursing staff and therefore the high cost involved in it forces most of the hospitals implement cross training to their existing staffs. This method helps the organization to travel for flexibility of the workforce through cross-utilization. This method gives a chance to nursing staff to be told different practices being followed in numerous departments, there by the amount of confidence increases among the staff to cope with their daily routine also help them to attending to career ladder easily. the information has been collected from staff nurses through non probability sampling and ANOVA used to anlayze the variables. This study concludes that by showing there's significant difference between gender, age, qualification, education, years of experience with posting and cross training and privileges in nursing.
