Passive Optical Network: A Review

Abstract

This paper shows that the future of the optical networking and the trends of the optical networking and how optical network impacts our day to day life with the increasing speed of the bandwidth and with the lesser losses of the signal or information which is sent through the optical network. In Optical networks, passive optical network plays a very pivotal role for sharing the information. [1] This paper shows how optical network changes in terms of bit error rate, gain, bandwidth, grooming and the traffic of the data transmission. It also explores the different advancements of the passive optical network and the different types of the passive optical network with their parameters.[2] It will explain the understanding of the passive optical network and explore the next generations of the network`s and its characteristics.[3]
