EBG Based Analysis for Transient Ischemic Attack Detection
Abstract
The objective of this research work is to design and simulate a microstrip patch antenna for continuous sensing of ischemic attack (brain stroke). The proposed antenna is designed to resonate at 2-2.4 GHz frequency band. The proposed antenna array designed propagates as microwave signal through the head for head imaging system, in order to detect the brain tumor. The proposed antenna is embedded with the metamateiral structure to reduce the antenna and electrical component size at low cost and ease measurement for the intended application. The designed proposed antenna is modelled using CST Microwave Studio, simulated, analysed, optimised and tested, to be a microwave scanner to detect the stroke or brain tumor.
