Wireless Public Addressing and Information Disseminating System (Wi-PAIDS) With PreCoded Text and Speech

Abstract

Public Address (PA) system is important in human’s daily lives. This kind of system is usually found on public areas
such as bus stations, supermarkets hospitals, churches, schools, etc. The main purpose of this system is to inform the
people about anything. The traditional PA system is using the electronic circuit and it is manually control by human.
The operator requires full attention to make the system work efficiently. In this project, a new PA system using
wireless connection and notification board with precoded text and speech was realized. This system can also be
connected by the operator to a smart phone to send custom message to the displays. The project built consists of
hardware and software development. The study used an Arduino microcontroller, which uses C/C++ programming
language, to obtain the desired function and output of the project. For the hardware, the study uses dot matrix
display, loudspeakers, amplifiers, and LCD displays. Moreover, this study is addressed to the LPU-Laguna
community to further improve the dissemination of information to the students.
