Design and Simulation of a Three Port DCDC Power Converter with Transient and Steady-State Compensation Techniques Suitable for Renewable Energy Resources

Abstract

The ongoing research relating to renewable energy sources which supply the consistent power to the DC load are
mainly focusing on designing a DC-DC multi-source converter using unique topology/structure with significant
features. This paper also an attempt to design a DC-DC converter that caters the facility for connecting multiple
renewable energy sources with isolation structure. Along with, the provision of transient and steady-state
compensation mechanism with less number of solid-state power electronic devices also incorporated. This unique
modular DC-DC converter topology with simple in construction and its simulation outputs are substantiating the
novelty involved in designing the converter. The dynamic analysis carried out on this proposed converter helped in
designing the other subsystems relating to the converter circuit.
