Abstract

This paper presents sensor-based control methods for automatic tracking of solar panel with sun light. In an
agricultural and environmental monitoring, various environmental vital parameters have been collected from the
measurement field with different climate conditions for analyzing the growth of agriculture plants. However, the
development of real time automatic system to detect the environmental key factors is more important for measuring
these vital parameters through the use of sensors provides an efficient information about the environment conditions.
In this paper, automatic solar panel tracking and control system is presented which uses the LDR (Light Dependent
Resistor), UV sensor, humidity sensor and temperature sensor is presented to capture these parameters along with
tracking of sun light. Experimental results provide that the proposed tracking system can be efficiently track the
position of sun light. Furthermore, the proposed real time system consists of temperature, humidity and UV sensors
on the edge of the panel which can be connect to the wireless devices for monitoring vital parameters remotely.
